How does a rehire at MBB/T2 work? Do I have to pass case interviews again? Can I directly enter as a Project Leader oder will I have to start as Senior Consultant? Anyone can talk about the McKinsey rehire system? thx!
Ad copywriter who’s freelancing outside of agency world, who do I ask for a reference/review from when finishing up a project? Project leader (who I had minimal interaction with) or day-to-day contact who is lower ranking but actually worked with me beyond the initial interview? At an agency I’d go straight to the CD, but this is a consultancy that doesn’t have that sort of structure.
If a Senior Manager / Director from a Big 4 wants to jump to MBB or T2 (think OW, Kearney, LEK), what level could they aspire for? Consultant is too many levels down, is Engagement Manager / Project Leader etc possible and if so, recommended? Or is the advice not to jump and stick till Partnership at Big 4? (I am in the midst of an advanced round interview at a MBB and at a T2, but the levels have not been discussed very weirdly in both the cases)
BCG fish: I’m applying to a Project Leader position at BCG Digital. Currently Digital Consultant with 7 YOE, great feedback from projects, acting as team lead. Anyone want to help with a referral?

Fact or fiction? Google and other big tech firms don’t see a difference between jnr Manager (/EM/Project Leader) and snr Associate (/Consultant) so don’t wait for a promotion before applying.
How does BCG evaluate their candidates, had final round interviews, hoping for a Project Leader position, but unsure of if they have a scoring rubric, if they collaborate together or separately
I have an interview next week for a tech industry role and my interviewer was a project leader at BCG. Nervous as I'm an analyst at Deloitte (not S&O) with little experience. Any tips?
Interviewing tomorrow and the company has communicated their intention to make an offer by the end of next week. 1) would you take this offer so close to busy season; 2) is the quick hiring decision a red flag? Enough to steer clear of position? It’s a promotion to manager for me and - little over 25% base pay increase.
Best apps for case study prep?
I was unemployed 6 months. Now I’m turning down interviews because there’s so much interest. Clients and publishers are throwing wads of $$$ at me. If you’re struggling, keep going. There’s hope!

First time interviewing as an experienced hire. When a recruiter asks salary expectations, do I counter and ask for a range? I don’t want to go high & get dinged but also don’t want to get shorted.

Has anyone here been through the ATP program (generalist track) at Capco and willing to chat briefly with a candidate about the interview process & job? I have a family member with a first interview coming up & he'd love to learn a bit more about what to expect
How many people are waiting for bonuses before leaving their current firms? I’m at PwC and our bonus will be given on 10/1. I’m pretty sure my entire team between director and senior plan to start interviewing after 9/15 or 10/15. Are there any other firms who have yet to pay out bonuses yet? Wondering how hard it will be to find something in a couple of months.
Any McKinsey fishes had a subpar case interview in round 1 and still progress in the recruiting progress?(assuming other interviews were good)
I’m being contacted by recruiters for positions that I’m probably only half qualified. But pay is very good. Should I just see if I can ace the interview and get the offer or should I be honest upfront and tell them that I’m not 100% qualified ?
So I was laid off. Is it okay to talk about it at my next job interview? Feels like everyone knows anyway.

Flying into SFO to give an interview next Friday, Should I wear suit? As the company CEO never wears one.
Had an interview last week that went well. The next day, HR sent an additional application to fill out (basically same info as the online app). Is that a good sign or usual process for 2 apps? Still waiting to hear back.

Off the clock, male client saw me looking at shoes on my phone & told me he felt bad for my husband. I quickly told him not to worry because I make plenty of my own money. What a dick.
Opinions Please. YOE - 5. ZS Associates - CTC- 19.6 LPA(include 15 gross+ 10%variable+1lakh joining bonus+ 1.5 year end bonus(ELRP)) SYNECHRON - 18 LPA FIXED. Might offer more on negotiation. EPAM - 20 LPA FIXED. 1 lakh joining. Might negotiate lillte bit more. ZENSAR - 20 LPA FIXED. Might offer some joining bonus. I’m casually interviewing, and I finished the final round for a smaller, lesser known firm recently. They want another follow up call to gauge interest. How do I tell them I’m just wanted interview practice and won’t probably even take their offer 😂. I feel bad.
We have a trip to Miami planned in two weeks. Just saw that Florida is averaging 20,000 cases day of mostly the delta variant. Super bummed as we’re both vaccinated and hopefully was going to get away, but looks like we may have to change plans. 😭

My doctor wants me to take a medical LOA. Thinks I’m too stressed at work/have so much anxiety about work that it’s having physical effects (heart palpitations/chest pains/panic disorder). I know I should take the time, but feel bad letting people down while my firm is so busy. What’s wrong with me?
Would an experienced hiring manager or someone who jumped to another consultancy be willing to review my resume and offer advice/ suggestions over a phone call? Prefer someone SM-level & above 🙏
