Those who got their green card recently, how long did it take from when you first submitted AOS?
How flexible is Deloitte with the start date because of H1b processing time? I signed the offer mid-may for July 12 because it seemed realistic enough for premium H1b transfer. But the lawyers seem slower than what I was used to and July 12 does not seem likely. Is this going to be a problem?
Hi There! While on H1B, can one go on an unpaid LOA while staying in the United States ?
Quick question. If you have an approved I-140, and want to switch jobs, does the new employer need to restart the green card application for you? How does this work? Thank you!
Hi, considering moving to Australia, targeting strategy roles (ex MBB exp). Would I be at a disadvantage during the application process if I do require a visa? Do you know of any successful cases? Otherwise, what are the ways to settle down and work in Australia? Got a EU passport. Cheers!
Since big 4s file large number of application for H1B. i want to understand what happens for those whose name is not shortlisted in H1B lottery. Do they have to leave big 4 and return back to their country?
H1B expired (6 years done); current employer (not EY) terminated me and did not want to move forward GC. How many days can I stay in the US? Flights are getting cancelled left and right.
Anybody knows how to find recruiters that assist H1B candidates in finding jobs for non-tech related positions?
Anyone have any luck with getting a visa to travel to China for humanitarian / personal reasons? My mom is trying to go to see her mom who has been really sick. We sent an email to the ny embassy but
I got my h1b extension approved recently, however my wife's h4 is still in progress. Can I switch employers while her h4 is pending?
Guys, would a udacity nanodegree be considered by USCIS to be a valid degree for visa purposes? Planning to do one soon
I am on H1b and my daughter is American Citizen (Minor) . Is she eligible for stimulus package ?
Folks who are on a H1/L1 visa, how do you handle the income out of a rental property? Do you hire a property manager? How much would they charge approximately and is it worth it?
On h1b. Gonna give my 2 weeks this Friday. Really can’t take it anymore. And then leave country nov 25. (Have to hang around for a close friends wedding). Do we see any issues with this?
There’s a company that I really want to work for in the future, is it possible to convince them I apply for my green card now and then join them once the EAD card comes in post-GC approval?
What are some tips for planning a small work party! We have a baby on the way in the department and would like to have a small celebration after school, probably in one of our classrooms, before she goes on maternity leave.

Are there any good podcasts you recommend for building a better understanding of the world of business, strategy, or management consulting? I've started to toy with the idea of an MBA but honestly...

What’s the salary range for a Compliance Officer at Wells Fargo? I just had my first interview and the discussions of compensation have began.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Does anyone have a name for what I'm looking for? Essentially, I'm looking for a resource to give to clients that really need to assess their current benefits and pay structure (and pay equity) in comparison to other organizations in the market and to provide the results and a roadmap of how to get where they need to be in order to retain and attract talent. Something like an HR Turnaround Consultant but I'm sure there is a better name?
I’ve been miserable at my position for a while. I’ve thought about moving out of PA to either private or another industry but it seems it’s never the right time nor can I settle on what should be my next move. Currently 10 weeks pregnant with my second and at a loss at what to do. Have any moms been in a similar dilemma? Has anyone changed jobs or interviewed while pregnant?
Hi 🐠 fam, a friend of mine lost his dad and grandma to covid (amongst 7 total lives lost in the family) and is on a ventilator himself. Kindly consider donating http://impactguru.com/s/yQNfny

Best consulting firms in Houston for Healthcare?
I had a 1st round interview last week and I didn’t love the sound of the job. It’s in higher ed. It would also be a 20k pay cut (105 -> 85). They want to do a final round with me this week. During the interview, the director who would be my manager said they are understaffed and very busy. She also said someone in this role needs to love working. I don’t necessarily want to transition to another busy place for a pay cut. The only perk I see is the time off university staff get and tuition...comt
Long post alert. Also, confusing post alert haha. So, I'm going to be divorced in the next few months and have 2 kids who'll be with me. Ever since this situation has been finalized, I'm becoming very conscious of our spend & have been tight about it. Covid has helped. But I noticed that even my grocery store bills are pretty high...like a single run to Meijer is $125+. Costco is like $200 or so. We've always had fresh fruits, nuts liberally used in our house. People have been asking me for referrals post COVID and I want to help everyone but I also know that some people won’t be a great fit. Is anyone else facing this? Does it hurt to refer not as strong candidates? I am assuming they will just get rejected?
Anyone recently gone through the interview process of LinkedIn Sales Strategy and Operations? Associate level. Want to know how the interviews were, what all was asked, and if there were any tests, assessments, or case studies.
