You’re not likely to get fired for disagreeing once unless you’re being disrespectful. Your manager may or may not be open to your feedback also. How and when you do it is important. Test the waters. The next time you disagree…get them one on one…and ask them if they’d be open to hearing some concerns you have about it or if they’re open to hearing why you have a different perspective.
The goal isn’t for them to change their mind. The goal is to witness their reaction and see if they are truly listening and engaging with your points. If they’re defensive and resistant, then you know it’s probably not worth it. But if they’re hearing you out and addressing your concerns or even better agreeing with some of your points, it’s safe.
Tone matters. Go in curious and not accusatory. I’ve found my manager will seek me out now to hear my thoughts often before making a big decision, but it took us time to get there. Best of luck!!
So glad it’s helpful! Keep me posted! Feel free to msg if I can help at all!

It’s always healthy to sometimes disagree with your manager

However, always be polite
My manager punished me for disagreeing with them and purposely sabotaged my projects just to flex their power so be careful. Get away from them if they’re really bad. I stayed and tried to make it work and it only hurt my portfolio in the long run.
I disagree with my manager all the time. We have a really good relationship and collaborate well, so there are no hard feelings when one of us doesn’t agree with the other. You’re not always going to agree, and it’s nice having a manager who makes it clear that it’s okay to disagree and still wants to hear what I have to say.
