I have the GMT and I love it. Really nice fit and finish for the money, and custom engraving gratis.
Going to get one. Hodinkee did a spot on them in their Value Proposition so I’d think the build quality is sufficient. I like their designs (in particular their world timers) and that I can buy one mid-year without much financial planning.

I dig the style. They’re a funky little stepping stone. You’ll likely want to “level up” after 6-12 months though; might be best to just save the money and wait for something that’ll stick around in the collection for longer.
Where would you look for a world timer in the “level up” range - for reference this is the one I’m eyeballing. https://usd.farer.com/products/roche
I’d like a world timer but it’s not a complication I want to drop serious bank on. But I candidly also don’t know the WT landscape all that well.
@D1 is spot on, I had the same lander GMT that is pictured above and sold it after about 18 months as I was ready to level up. The build is solid for the price point and I was able to sell it for $300 below msrp very quickly so the resale is not bad atleast on their more desirable color ways. They also occasionally “sell out” for a few months so those are good times to sell as people don’t want to wait.
Nope.
Just kidding, I’ve heard that these are pretty reasonable as far as the glut of the direct-to-consumer choices that have sprung up in the past few years.
Don't have one, but curious what others think too. Seem to be relatively high quality for a micro, and haven't heard anything bad about them.

Farer is an interesting micro to me, but one I have stayed away from for a couple reasons.
1) Price / resale - I don’t understand why their GMT goes for twice what a Zelos Horizons does. I like the color ways but it’s an all printed dial and the finishing looks rather standard for a nicer micro. Perhaps it’s the fact that they carry inventory so it keeps prices higher? But them keeping inventory makes the resale values lower, so it increases the risk if you don’t like it.
2) that stupid brass crown they used to put on everything. Apparently they realized that was a dumb idea because I’m on their site now and only about half have it now.
They do make some nice looking watches though. That super compressor case is cool and doesn’t seem unreasonable. Also the sport chronograph is really good looking and that’s pretty thin for a chrono.
