I will be joining MasterCard in the next two weeks, and my BGV application is still pending.
Is there any idea how long it will take to complete BGV, and will there be any consequences if BGV is not completed before joining date?

Capital gains tax rate - I know there are diff rates (0/15/20) depending on income threshold but is the threshold based solely on “earned income” (i.e., wage)? For ex. if I quit my job and hv zero earned income and sell my stocks with 5M gain in the same yr, there would not be any capital gain tax?? It doesn’t seem right but is that the rule?

She took documents on 23rd Aug and did salary discussion a week later. And giving shitty excuses like waiting for approval. Approver is on leave bla bla. I’m currently an associate (no kids) in a very busy corp group (think 50-60 billable weekly). My wife works significantly less (currently part time, 10-15, but hopefully will be full time soon).
