Does anyone have any tips or advice for managing employee burnout in the workplace? From like work pressure and just the general stressful work life balance that happens from time to time or in some cases consistently.

Take things in stride. You are not a brain surgeon and nobody’s life is in jeopardy so chunk your tasks into digestible bites. The work will be there the next day. Put work aside on the weekends or, if need be, select only two hours in the morning to do work related items. Then, focus on your family or do something you enjoy doing. Take your PTO as needed for some down time.

Do not take work home with you remember this is only a part of your life if you have a hobby get into it find ways to unwind after work don't talk about work none Don't even think about work do your job keep a pleasant smile and encourage yourself because one thing we can do is control others or control everything that's happening go with what you control

This sounds like a stressful situation.
Not sure where you are located, so take this as info from Ontario, Canada.
Evaluate your tasks and block your calendar accordingly - to give yourself time to complete your deliverables.
Disruptions or toxic environment controlling your mind and work day? Set boundaries. Connect with EAP.
Start on time. Leave on time. Give work your full attention during work hours.
Right to Disconnect: we're not required to work after hours, check emails or answer calls.
Urgent matter? Manager can handle it.
Emergency? Call 911

Burnout needs workload changes, not slogans. I push for real adjustments because pressure does not vanish alone.

I had very positive feedback on my interviews for a S&O role but the team hired someone internally. If I interview again for a differenr role, would I have to do all the interviews again or can I use some of the scores from previous interviews. Hi All- I’m looking for a super simple time tracking platform to integrate with Asana for a team of 5. All we need it for is to see how much time is going into different projects that our department is managing. That’s it. No billing/invoicing/don’t care about time sheets, etc. We just need the ability to track and pull a report at the end of each month. Anyone have recommendations?

Question: an employee was asked by his boss for same day turn around on responses/deliverables on a days he requested PTO. He completed the work. The manager wants to know if she can still deduct PTO time for the days requested, even though he completed work on those days. Help.

I would like some advice here. I currently work as an HRBP for a large company and have been with this company for over 2 years. The current company culture is not great, and I’ve been looking for outside opportunities.
I was offered a role at a smaller company that just announced it is being acquired by a large company, however they agreed that they will be operating independently.
Would it be incredibly stupid to start a new HR job at a company currently going through an acquisition?

From a financial standpoint in this market, which would be a better approach in Austin -

1. Buy a ~8-850k house that meets most of our ideal criteria (size, schools, interiors etc) to stay long term

2. Buy a ~5-550k house that’s not ideal with the plan of moving into an ideal home in 4-5 years when kid is ready for school.

How easy is it to get a mortgage for the second home?

Household income - 300k

Happy to add more details as needed
