I have received offer from Wipro which is little above than the offer that I am holding but fixed pay is less. Thinking of rejecting Wipro offer. Is it better to reject or accept and then not join. Also if I reject, will there be any issue like they won't consider me in future?Tata Consultancy Wipro Cognizant Infosys

Hi - I was a former hire into manager level at PwC. I would not recommend it.
PwC is structured highly on relationships. This is most important at the manager level - you aren't really selling your own work yet, but it's a critical position for project success. People want someone they can trust - the directors and partners would rather staff a familiar face without the skillset than staff someone with the skillset that they don't trust yet. Therefore, you will only get the work that nobody wants to work on with the people nobody wants to work with. I would not recommend coming into the manager level at PwC for anyone - wait until you sell your own work to join as an experienced hire there.
@D1, it’s the same at Deloitte and any other consulting company. @OP, at manager level, you’re stacked against other home grown managers who’s already established their relationship and tagged with partners to go-to-market.
If you don’t have a specialization, you’d also feel a bit of the pressure of having to get credits on pursuits. Which goes back to the first point, your relationships with the Sr Mngrs and Partners/network.
I’m sure you’re more than equipped to hop on the new opportunity, but just something to consider.
I haven’t heard great things of PWCs Salesforce gigs. What level are you? Is 30% worth it? The only way to ever make that kind of increase is to jump ship, which you can do at literally any time with salesforce. Big D is crawling all over me rn. Depends on if you want the $ or not.
Also, I got a 5% raise after being here for 5 months and I thought I was overpaid when I took the offer 🤷♀️
How long is your current project for. Your next project could suck at Accenture as well. Definitely ask to match, worst they say is no. Usually they will do 1/2 of the difference.
It would be for Accenture to PWC. Worried about leadership being angry if I ask for a matching offer
Oops *2 months not "too much" from above. My bad for the typo.
If you don’t mind me asking, approx how many years have you been with Accenture and are you in a Tier 1 city?
What kind of bonus structure do you see (potential vs actual) if you don’t mind me asking?
Take the money and run. I was in the same boat. Never looked back.
What city is that??
