All right people. LET'S FILE SOME TAX RETURNS.
Is offer match a good idea?
PSA: With tax season is around the corner I just wanted to share that CashApp (Square) allows you to e-file individual Federal return and 1 state return for free (with NO income limit), and the best part is it supports ALL essential forms for stocks like 1099s and Sch D (gain loss on stock including crypto). DM if you need a ref code

It’s a public accounting thing generally. At a company you are salaried and not billing by the hour. So no reason to track your hours
thank you! :)
I always had timesheets to track my hours that I worked in industry. But I didn’t have to track what I was working on every minute of the day like I do in PA.
Tracking hours is one of stressful thing in public.
i hear ya 😪 just terrible and unnecessary imo
Didnt use timesheets in industry until i entered project accounting
Was just asked to do time sheets at my job, I’m US based in a large global corporation and the Asia Pacific division expressed interest in bringing the work I do for them to Singapore. I did my time sheets, my manager agreed it wss accurate. When the Singapore manager looked at it they said i could keep it, lol
Had on client who did this. Was insane
It depends. Nonprofits with government grants will require time sheets. For the most part, i have seen nonprofits move away from this requirement.
I've been in accounting for publicly traded companies for 20 years. Basically you have things you are responsible for, other than that they don't ask where your time is spent.
If company is federal funded then timesheets require for everyone. The feds only want to pay for their fair share of actual time worked.
