My role has changed a lot & I’m wondering if anyone has salary advice or can point me towards some comparable job titles to research. Originally I was hired as a Talent Source reaching out to candidates scheduling interviews writing creative inmail campaigns for the team, reviewing applications etc. Now I am an admin in our ATS managing and customizing workflows, templates, custom fields, trouble shooting etc. I am also doing market research and building dashboards to monitor our analytics

What’s the most you’ve made in a year, all-in, including base + commissions + annual vested stock? And what company?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Thoughts on SPHR vs SPHRi? I have PHR currently. Current company is growing internationally so I'm debating which route to go.

What are your thoughts on counter offers? I received a counteroffer to be a Recruiting Supervisor when i put in my two weeks notice due to lack of career growth from my current title as a Recruiter at a health system to join an aerospace company, which has career tracks from BP to TA manager and director. Finishing 90 days in new role and I am doing really, really well. The only thing is that I get the vibe that people in management and my peers feel that I’m arrogant. I take feedback well or so I think. I ask questions when I don’t know things and I admit and own things when I’m wrong. The only thing is that I tend to like to work on my own and it’s because I have an introverted personality, I think. Am I fucking up? Is it envy? Or am I arrogant?

Do we really still support SHRM? I was a fan when I first got in HR now though I’ve had a few second thoughts. I also used to volunteer to review scholarships they provided, but after the last SHRM conference I started asking myself, why pay…. I also keep update myself outside of SHRM as I’ve had multi-site and country responsibility so I’ve had to usually keep uptodate.

I’ve been given a project to create a database that houses everything for our talent acquisition department including tips, best practices, processes, etc. I’ve been given free reign on creating the entire thing from scratch but I’m running out of ideas! Does anyone have any advice on what I should include? This will be going live next year and will be the main source of information for everyone in the company for anything TA related. Would love some help!!!

I am fairly new to sales (3 years), and I just closed a deal that will pay out twice what I made all of last year ($75k vs $150k). My question is: nobody here can talk to their friends or family about this kind of stuff, right? Do you all disclose to people that you are pulling in $250-$300k in a year? I'm only 25 so I don't want my friends to make me buy all their drinks 😅

Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture

Does any one of you work in a company that hires contractors overseas?

I am looking for validation here. Is my workload too much? Working for a healthcare organization, where most of my openings are RNs, CNAs, retail and Corporate. I am sole recruiter for 60 vacancies, in charge from req to offer. Also managing all employee merit increases, status changes, promotions, position changes etc for 500 employees, day to day HR inquiries, Workers Comp, and performance review management. (I used to be just “Recruitment” but as people leave, they just divvy out their job).

Just need to vent among people who understand me.
So we have a multi-generational workplace which is kinda a good thing, generally, but not lately.

Looking for a District Manager in Sales, I’ve been working for T-Mobile for quite sometime. The career path is always changing pushing the district manager position farther and farther away even though I have the skill set and have held down my district multiple times. I am REALLY struggling.

I gained 40lbs in my pregnancy, and my son is now 20 months. I am still 40lbs up 😢.

I used to be so into working out and eating well, but I can’t seem to get back in a proper routine. I have also slipped back into some binge eating behavior over the last week or so, which I haven’t struggled with in years.

Obv this is multi-faceted and complex, but if anyone has helpful suggestions or things that work for them, I’m all ears!
