I had an interview yesterday and they asked for my pay range hard, I asked what the position range was and she said competitive. So that will be my answer from now on. I expect competitive pay for my skills and experience.
Competitive = competing with bills
Haha good one
Google Robert half pay guide and find out
Robert half just makes stuff up. They get paid a % off your placement pay so a conflict of interest there. Plus contract vs. Temp vs. Permanent is all washed into their numbers. So it really depends. But, not a bad place to get an idea.
Hey! All pay is competitive, just maybe poor competition. Between Google, Robert half and general expectations you’ll find a decent range
Competitive = Market. Every company is “competing” for talent and that’s what drives the market wage. Try not to fall for their marketing tactics
Facts
I once interviewed for a role in the accounting department at a company. They told me they didn't have a budget for the role. Gave me a good laugh. The department was really on top of things.
lol wow
Less than you think you should make but more than you’re worth.
Rising Star
Competitive, to me, means your market value or above. You need to research and understand what your market value is. If you understand that, youll know what to ask for and if you’re getting a good offer.
More like conpetitive.
It's rarely a good sign to see that phrase.
Like wow you're paying what others are? how nice.
Rough market rate, whatever the lazy h/r person pulled out of the internet.
