The best one I’ve ever read is a bit arcane and sometimes hard to hear: “The Last Word on Power” by T. Goss. It’s the foundation of how I got to MD without a college degree. “This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making me happy.”
- G.B.Shaw

Joined GT few weeks back
Then comes an offer from EY, 20% higher than what GT is paying.😐
What do I do now? Stay with GT or join EY? Is it okay to ditch in just few weeks

have heard GT has less hour goals & better WLB. I am pretty sure that EY might not offer that. Is the 20% raise worth it? Will I be risking too many things making the move.
Any scope of permanent WFH in either of the 2 firms (India office) since that will help me decide
Can someone please help!!

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

So I've been working at my company for 8 months now as a business analyst. Both senior consultants on my project are leaving, with no replacements in sight, so the project work is most likely going to fall to me. I am already doing most of the work of a full fledged consultant as defined by the companies description. I'm only getting paid 55k a year which I'm being told by other employees is below industry standard (they take around 70% of my billable rate) and I'm feeling kind of stuck. Advise?
