Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Stick to accounting. Your passions are for hobbies. Your job is for money.
I suggest searching for an industry position in accounting with a very large company to get your foot in the door then once you’ve put in a year start looking into switching departments or looking into other business segments
Thank you. I'll update my Linkedin and reach out to people.
I love RE too, and have been growing my rental portfolio while working in tax. Have you gone to RE meet ups and seen who is pitching service (typically tax) and maybe go work with them for a while and get connected with other people in RE
I would recommend joining and going to a local RE meet up group - much cheaper and IMHO more useful than the gurus. Have you heard the saying "Those who can't do teach?" Go talk to the people who have done it (and buy them lunch) to learn from other people successes.
Having a job is good for borrowing money if you want to invest in RE (but the banker doesn't care which job it is, as long as you are not switching every 6 months). I hear you on being frustrated about getting paid less than your friends - and if you don't get more down time to work on your RE, get a new employer. Sounds like you will eventually quit accounting, until then set yourself up for success!
When I graduated I got hired directly into general accounting. I hated it but I found a way to take what I learned and rotated internally to another group which did accounting information systems. Then I took that experience in accounting information systems and moved into DevOps. With each move I have found more satisfaction in my job and career. Do you have skills today leverage them to a slightly different path until you reach the end goal
I’ll share openly: as an accountant every chance I could I would volunteer to pilot the new system, participate in projects to recon data, help troubleshoot system issues as the functional SME, etc.
Also build relationships with IT to help get a rotational in that Dept.
And take a certification or two.
If it’s the work that’s burning your out then change to a different tax group. If it’s hours then industry maybe be better. Also, all the big 4 have ignition (software development) groups which love people with tax background. You can join one of those groups.
