Sounds like your intuition is telling you something. Small company, much bigger salary, bigger title = big expectations which is likely to mean much less time with your family. Listen to your gut.
Worth the risk. Leave on good terms with your current employer and you could always go back.
2 years in that role isn’t awful. Does the smaller company have a good reputation and do you know anything about the WLB there? A 60% bump would be veryyy hard to turn down.
It was very very hard to turn down. I just couldn’t do it, I told the recruiter I have a hard stop at 5pm to go pick up my child at the daycare and she said they are flexible. I hope they don’t turn back and say no!
