It would depend on why you want to leave. I know why I wouldn’t want to live in Florida or other states, but that might not be the same as yours.
I love western New York! People are friendly, seasons are beautiful, no one has told me to get rid of my classroom library, and as of right now I still can make my own medical decisions for myself and my children. Cost of living is high in the town I live in but not as bad if you want to live out in the country a ways (where I teach). I still think I’m extremely underpaid but my salary and salary potential is so high compared to so many other states. Also - this is biased - we have the best and only New York football team (Go Bills!)
I looooove snow but I was definitely repeating “we don’t have earthquakes, we don’t have hurricanes, we don’t have alligators.” On repeat this year when shoveling myself out of 4+ feet of snow multiple times this winter 😅😅😅
OP - if you don’t love snow stay far far far away from Buffalo!!!
Come north and stay easterly. It's more expensive many places but the pay and union protections are valuable. There are no Jurassic Park sized critters here. Snow banks on the other hand...
Illinois just passed a law banning book bans!!!!! Also, we have good teacher unions and the pay is decent in the suburban districts. (Rural is still pretty low paying.) We don’t get as much snow as the New York, but we get enough for fun activities like sledding at the park!
Minnesota. If you like cold and snow, where else would you go? 😂
Las Vegas, NV! ✌️ Why? Uhm… 🤔 I’m still thinking!!! 🙇♀️ Okay, I’ve got it… No bugs except cockroaches & bed bugs! 🤣🤣🤣 And no snow, but contrary to popular belief, we do enjoy seasons. Plenty of jobs! 💵 The sky is ALWAYS Blue, too. ✌️
What is the reason for your move and what are you looking for? This can help us give better advice :)
Don’t come to Oklahoma, a lot like Florida, many are closed minded. Pay isn’t very good, but cost of living is lower than many other places. Kids here need good teachers.
Michigan is hiring. We have unions, and our pay is higher. The weather can be brutal in the winter but the other 3 seasons are better.
Arkansas! Please come to Arkansas.
Alaska always needs teachers. Pay is good, but cost of living is high, too. Generally speaking, you're likely to have a lot of autonomy. Districts and living conditions vary from phenomenal to dysfunctional so definitely do your research before taking a position.
Maryland pays its teachers pretty well comparatively. It’s a beautiful state…mountains and ocean.

Depends why you want to leave.
Weather or cost of living? Come to Midwest.
