Yes, but no. If someone broke up with me over their busy season stress… then I’d cut my losses.
I work in public accounting and my partner works similar hours in a different field. Days are long and stressful during my busy season and weeks where he’s scheduled many 12 hour shifts in a row at the hospital. We do our best to shift away from thinking about work when we are off the clock and also provide for each other when one of us is less busy and has more capacity. It sounds like your partner is having a career crisis and it’s maybe best to only have one thing going on at a time.
I was with someone for almost 6 years while I went to school and got into public accounting. we were so excited for me to start my career. I had always been supportive of his career which was being a truck driver. I started working in public accounting and was obviously working a lot. He ended up cheating on me during that time and blamed it on public accounting and told me I wasn’t available. I was smart enough to see through that bullshit. People stick it out with people that they want and they love. I broke up with him… a few years later I met my current partner in public accounting. The most supportive person about my career and completely understands me, and life couldn’t have worked out better for me. Please do not blame anything on busy season or public accounting if somebody loves you, they would stick around
I'm confused. Who's spiraling? The person working in public accounting?
Confused by what you are asking. Have been married for 20 years and healthy relationships should withstand professional hardships. Maybe you need to talk and work this out, if the relationship is what you want?
Crashing out?
It’s what the kids these days are using for irrational/losing their minds
Did someone break up with you and you’re trying to see if they will come back?
Let me tell you, generally school (exams and projects) and busy seasons bring a different side of me that I don’t like 🤣! I am sorry you were on the receiving end! Honestly, I would never date myself - if that was a thing 🤦♀️😆
They don't love you if they broke up with you over work stress. Let it go.
