My MOH is probably not going to be able to attend my wedding bc of covid restrictions. Freaking out slightly because I don't have someone close enough to replace her / I don't know how viable her zooming in would be? Any advice / tips?

I didn’t have a MOH and everything was great. Had 5 bridesmaids and they all handled anything and everything necessary on the day and the week leading up. What type of role did you have in mind specifically that she would do?

like

Came to say the same thing. I don’t plan on having a MOH and my fiancé won’t have a best man. Is it more about her helping with certain tasks or finding a way to include her in the day?

How big is your wedding? Do you have other bridesmaids? Day of coordinator?

Have any of you taken FMLA leave due to a positive COVID case for a member of your household? My husband just tested positive for COVID and I am not sure yet if my 2 toddlers have it. In any event, even if they are healthy, they can’t go back to daycare for awhile so childcare is all on me. I’m wondering if I should apply for FMLA leave so I don’t completely crash my hours, but I am also not sure whether this situation qualifies for FMLA.

How many woman are still regularly wearing heels in the office? I’ve found that my office is much more casual than is was pre-covid but still need to look presentable. I am tall and in returning to my pre covid work wardrobe I’m realizing how much of my clothing I need to wear heels with - either because pants are too long or it just looks odd with flats. I feel weird walking around in heels when the other women are more casual. Should I stay in line with what others are wearing or are heels ok?

I was curious on the types of travel policies companies are rolling out. How do you feel about splitting everything 50-50 with your partner? I don’t feel as rigid about it bc I feel it balances out one way or another, but my partner feels as if he owes me if we don’t split 50-50 and I pay more. I get where he’s coming from but 50-50 just feels transactional and not intimate. For context: I make 3x more than he does and he’s still finishing his medical fellowship, so I don’t feel it’s a matter of feeling less than.

Anyone from Facebook (Meta) can help me with a referral? Please. 😊

What sort of exit opps would be available to someone like me post MBB? Would my skill set/knowledge base be uniquely sought after, or not really? Thank you for your help!

Hi all, New to the area and I’m looking for good dentist recommendations who doesn’t have excessive prices. My SO came in to an office and they quoted us $800 for deep cleaning after insurance, which is 4x what we paid for deep cleaning at the previous dentist in Houston. They also wanted us to pay upfront before any procedure is done. That seems very sketchy to us, so we’re looking to get second opinion and switch office. TIA!
