Is April month salary slip generated in FIS Global ??? Mine is not showing, when it will generate?
I doubt they didn't give me quarterly variable , I joined in mid February and even salary came less than previous month.
Did they deduct tax in April month salary of it is then fine because they didn't tax in March month .
Kindly comments if anyone have idea .
Thanks

I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart

Hi @Data scientist.
Sharing my 2 cents
Firstly, many people will say that your salary is higher than avg salary at your level -which kind of is true as per average estimates available to gen. population
Secondly you might have self doubt about the market value of work or projects you have done in past/currently doing
Thirdly you might be also thinking about the brand value of your pedigree .
Well believe me the market and the employers want you to think the same -so that the next company with whom you interview can negotiate with you at their terms whenever you get a call from them.
So what should you do ..
-Understand what you bring to the table when you apply a job and even when you interview for the same.
- In case they offer you a role of your liking/fit negotiate properly to what you should get.... remember during COVID years many people got whatever was demanded as the market had low cost of capital (where as now organisations get their capital at higher costs and hence negotiating harder with future employees)
- Never stop upskilling - not just on technical stuff but also on soft skills (tools and GUIs change or get phase dout but algorithms and people/stakeholder management skills don't)
I have been in the corporate industry enough ( nearly 15yrs just in case your are wondering) to say one thing for sure : IF you are always upskilling and have confidence you will eventually land a role /job of your choice (provided you have the patience and financial strength to wait for it)
Cheers and All the best!
Well the most primary thing is I bid my time...I had to wait 4+ long years before my first organisation even considered me for a managerial role despite me having mentored and work-managed a couple of my juniors (so patience was key here)
Secondly, I had enough client facing experience by then for my seniors/ the industry to acknowledge my presence and my knowledge (mostly my doing)
Thirdly, I worked on enough breadth and span of projects/methodologies to gain enough domain expertise (here the credit partly goes to my ex-org for giving me the exposure)
Finally , I realised my worth and kept my confidence in place (not overconfident)and was ready to negotiate with my firm and other prospect firms for better pay and role (again my doing)
So luck and opportunities come to those who wait and also prepare for them !
Reason is you are over salaried for the desired skills . In market lot of more talents are available with handsome experience and more qualities in less salary .
What are the high end skills in data science , I can add to boost my chances
I am also in same boat :(
