Would you leave a full time position that you are not happy and take an on going contact role ( like permalance) for more salary, access to benefits (minimal cost), but no paid PTO?

Will an offer made in paper by one organization get revoked if a counter offer from other organisation is submitted to negotiate a better salary?
Also need an advice on should i submit the counter offer even if i prefer the first organisation only to improve the salary which is less as offered now?

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? I asked for a raise in April 2022 after three years with my company. Positive feedback since day one. Learned I was making less than peers at other asset managers in NYC with less experience (14 years). Latest conversation was with HR about how they calculate salaries. 190k TC in Los Angeles or 160k TC in Chicago. Same role and both are 50% remote. Which would you choose?

Jan 2022- 80k base salary
