Has any moms here experienced hyperemesis during their pregnancy? How did you manage to work? I’m having such a hard time and the prescription is giving me sedation and it’s so hard.

Yes, it was horrible. I was lucky that work was generally not quite as busy, but lots of lying down and working on the couch. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. It made the pregnancy really challenging the entire time.

I can function on very little sleep so I was able to fight it. I’m sorry that’s not too helpful. I needed to be on meds right on the dot too. If I missed by a couple of minutes, I’d almost definitely throw up. Have you asked your doctor if anything can help with the drowsiness?

Yes and I billed 2200 that year. I would keep vomit bags in my office and purse and keep one of those icy headache hats at work. I delivered 3 months early so only had to deal with it for 6 but it was awful. Good luck.

Yes, I was lucky things were slow but I had to sleep early and rest because symptoms hit badly in the evening

I am interested in pivoting from an agency into a traditional business consultancy role. I have start-up tech experience and four years of Strategy experience for media clients. Are there any projects folks in consulting would recommend I take on to add to build on to a resume? From the outside looking in, it seems like there is an overlap in the core competencies of a strong strategist at an agency and a consultant.

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?
