Does morning wood mean that I would have a boner before waking up itself? Sometimes I wake up and I already have a boner. Sometime I don't, I get a boner in a few minutes after waking up.

Job offers! Company A: a fortune 250 company. Would be close to 10k salary bump, plus potential cash bonus up to 24% annual. Very engaged in interview process and aggressive in filling the role. Gave me an offer within 2 weeks of application. Company B: Fortune 500 company. Have gone through third interview and operations manager said you will hear from hr soon with next steps. Seemed like an offer was coming but it’s been over a month since applying. Wait or take first offer?

Why has real estate remained lucrative?
Mainly agents but also developers.

The barrier to entry is low, not even sure if graduating high school is needed. My old agent even said she did it bc she can make a lot money and not work that much. She drove a new Mercedes and sent her kids to private school, husband was also an agent.

So I’m curious why it didn’t get flooded and the profit margin dampened to a $/hr closer to other jobs with similarly easy entry?

How much is too much for rent percentage wise? I’m currently paying 30% of my take home pay for rent+bills in a 3-bed house share but thinking of getting a 1-bed. The ones I’ve found are 45-50% (incl bills) of net pay, is that excessive? I could wait till the next promo but it would be next year at best and thinking to take advantage of the renter’s market at the moment.

I’m asking out of genuine curiosity - why do law firms promote people who have 0 leadership and management skills to partner? I know people who have been promoted to partner who have for a fact been given poor reviews bc they are egregious managers — some are not even respected by juniors because they also don’t have much substantive knowledge. Is it just politics?
