Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview
Happy pi day 🐠

Internal promotions. Great managers

It was a promotion to a hybrid role between a design director and a creative director, reporting up to the head of design. I ended up passing because while I appreciated that the leadership recognized my value, it was a risk I didn’t want to take at the time in my career. It was a new role, and there wasn’t a clear path for how it would grow yet.
(My title on here is old)
Did this several times. Identify a void in the company and lay out how you can fill the need. Create your own job description and add in what you think the value is to the company in measurable terms. You need to be able to sell it in so it needs to be believable and most importantly you need to believe in it. I created jobs I wanted to do in companies I wanted to work for, however it comes with risk and less perceived stability.
Agree with BD1, as I’ve had five roles over 10 years with my company and three were self-created. I saw holes in what we were doing, pitched a new role (JD, goals, etc) AND pitched how we would cover my previous responsibilities. Second a great manager as key to this, as well as a company culture that supports the entrepreneurial spirit
I would especially love to hear about anyone who did this not as a promotion.

OP Can you tell us why you’re asking, in case it unlocks something.
