Now they changed the policy as we need to apply for icici/axis/hdfc credit card from there we need to make the transaction and reimburse the same. I am ok with everything but why i need to apply for credit card? How a company can force me to have a credit card? It will directly/indirectly alter the credit score right? Cogniza

It was my very first job out of college. I had just moved to Chicago and didn't know anyone, had been job searching for a few weeks. I was young and didn't know the signs to look for. It was supposed to be an Event Planning/Marketing job. I interviewed with them, one singular in-person interview. Got the job that week - I was just happy to have a job to pay my rent and get established. Turned out to be a sales job on the streets, nothing at all like they advertised or like was mentioned in my interview. I tried to stick it out, ended up quitting after 2 weeks and found a new job. Found out recently they were shut down a while back for fraud and money laundering. They keep reopening the company under new names and LLCs and doing the same stuff, wasn't their first time.
Don’t feel bad. Everyone I know (including me) has been suckered into something similar.
My boss interviewed incredibly well but he is a one trick pony. Everything he said in the interview that got me excited about the job turned out to be really the only things he knew how to do. And he doesn't want to try anything else. I feel like I've already maxed out what I can learn from him.
Yes, I accepted a role as to function as an Assistant Program Manager.
The role was actually assistant TO the Program Director.
It was not a match to my skill set.
I’m worried this is me now, 5 months in. The reasons are not shady. I don’t think it was a bad faith thing. But I’ve come into a leadership role that was about innovation and IP (job description, extensive interviewing) and actually they’ve told me not to do the leadership bit at all and just being executor of day-to-day tasks. They also confirmed I have no autonomy and they’re not comfortable with me making any decisions - even small operational ones. My peers in adjacent depts are not as experienced as I thought so things are falling to me. Company is pleasant but dysfunctional operationally and not profitable. Kicking myself. I feel mis-sold.
