Hey everyone,

I worked as a Data Scientist for around 1 year, but due to layoffs I had to switch roles and now I’m working as an AI Engineer. I now have around 1.5 years of total experience.

I used to enjoy Data Science work more. Lately, AI Engineering/GenAI work feels mostly like building applications and doing vibe coding, so I feel like I’m not learning much anymore.

Is this normal early in the career? Any suggestions from people who moved from Data Science to AI Engineering?

I just signed the offer letter from Absolutdata acquired by Infogain , and even before joining the company they sent me a welcome kit.
I am unsure of joining them in case I get a better counter offer, but I am a bit worried now since they already sent me a welcome kit. I am wondering what made them sure that I will join them and not any other company. Is it that after signing offer letter I cannot join other company?

Let me share my interview experience with Amazon India

1. Cleared 1 screening and 2 technical rounds. I got confirmation that result is positive but position is closed. We are referring u 4 another role. 2. Again 1 screening and 2 technical rounds which got cleared. On the day of final leadership interview got a call from recruiter that this position is closed. Refering u 4 another role. 3. Direct technical round. Got rejected. No more referal 😀
