You have to pay for your own laptop?

I’ve seen more companies doing this. It’s kind of surprising given privacy/risk concerns. Even JP Morgan doesn’t provide laptops to all employees.
I use a Lenovo Legion 5 Slim as my personal/gaming laptop. Wondering if I can use this for work as well - it looks lowkey enough and I’m sure the hardware is more than enough for ppt/modeling…
I have one as my personal. Love it.
That's an awesome machine and you can really get some power in it. But it does come down to who is paying for it. If the company is paying, go for the i7 and tons of memory. If you're buying it for yourself, that's a different story. I tend to buy cheap laptops for myself, as most of what I do on it doesn't require a lot of power or storage.
