I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?

Recently realized, the partner I work with and my ex-firm practice partners are good friends. Should I communicate to my ex-firm partner not to share this with my current firm partner when they meet??? Or am I thinking it too much?

Anyone else HATE the word “full stack developer” in a lot of tech/LinkedI blog posts? the ONLy time I personally feel it is applicable is when it is being used to describe a developer in a specified domain— or more appropriately— for a specific company.

Ie: Amazon is ran by Java, SQL, and AWS for the most part right? so a full stack developer at Amazon would be competent in those “tech stacks”. However— when I see the word “full stack developer” used as a job title to describe broad categories

I have a paralyzing fear of analytics (consultant undergrad) but I love strategic thinking / using the insights I get from data. For some reason whenever I open excel I get nervous and can’t thinking straight. I’m unable to take a step back to structure things well and instead just panic and execute. Tips? Anyone else relate? I am looking for validation here. Is my workload too much? Working for a healthcare organization, where most of my openings are RNs, CNAs, retail and Corporate. I am sole recruiter for 60 vacancies, in charge from req to offer. Also managing all employee merit increases, status changes, promotions, position changes etc for 500 employees, day to day HR inquiries, Workers Comp, and performance review management. (I used to be just “Recruitment” but as people leave, they just divvy out their job).
