Hey there,
I just recently graduated with a degree in Community and Economic Development. I've been looking for positions related to that, but I'm worried that I need to broaden my scope. I have previously worked in retail architecture project management, and thought that this degree would help me find work in helping build communities. So far I have been looking for grant management and development consultant positions. What positions do you think would work with my experience?
Thanks!

Broadening your search might be a good idea. You may be hitting something of a vocabulary problem, as terms used in your previous experience may not be used if you're looking for government employment. Explore looking for roles such as economic development specialist, or capital projects manager. You could pitch yourself as someone who knows how to bring business to a downtown area, or you could manage the building of affordable housing. Brainstorm about roles you'd like to explore and broaden your search along those lines.

Hi all, my H1B got approved today and I am waiting on the actual physical notice. In parallel I have a L2 EAD extension request in process. My H1B is valid from oct 1 only. Can I withdraw my L2 tomorrow? Is it okie if I am out of status for nine days? I am worried that the L2 will get approved. If it does get approved, what do I do?

I recently joined Company A on H1B few weeks ago. Will this cause any issues in my visa stamping now or in the future? Anyone gone through this?
