When will be the retention bonus will be paid if a candidate joined TCS in the middle of the financial year. I.e September'22... Will that be paid on next year's September'23 Month only after completing an year in TCS?
And will the Retention bonus will also be considered as taxable income of the the current year taxes(2022-23)?

Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. 11 LPA for half an hour a day is a very good CTC. Try doing some freelancing to see if you would be happy with more work and money. If not then you can continue in your existing job. Else you can switch.
But considering my age and exp, I was thinking to continue to timepass for another 2-3 years and retire

If I'm in your shoes, I would ask few questions to myself!
Why do I want to retire early, do i have enough life savings to lead a comfortable life and support the education of my children and support the family?
What are my plans after I retire, am I starting a business?
If not life savings, had I created a passive income generation?
Do i have enough friends/cousins who can sacrifice work for a few days to hang out with me regulary as I cannot sit in my home all day without any activity?
If most of the answers are no, I will stop thinking about early retirement and continue working until I can yes to most of the questions above!

I had the same job , doing nothing & was earning a good salary. I am just 33 with a newborn . I realised it is not good for my career . I would have become AVP & VP doing nothing in the same organisation. But this would be a career suicide. I will eventually end up without a proper skillset & probably grumpy like all other seniors who have spent their entire life in the same org.
I decided to move last year. Got rejected & humiliated by interviewers initially(probably the lowest point career wise) but finally had some decent offers this year after April . & Happy that I made the decision to move out.
