Even without LinkedIn, I see a lot of people younger than me in much better roles. They started off with relevant jobs right out of college. I graduated in 2009 when the economy tanked and worked in retail for years before I was finally able to land in corporate. Does anybody else struggle with this as well? I’m constantly comparing myself to others who are younger than me.

Hi ladies, I'm in my mid 40s and I think I'm entering peri. I currently have a Mirena but I should replace it again soon, but one more will put me into my 50s(!!) and I was wondering if anyone here knows that they're in peri or menopause without having periods. I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

I have a job offer for 3 months that pays 25% more than my current job. It is more into civil engineering and I think the experience I get will help getting more job offers in the future. Can someone give me more advice if I should stay in my current job which I hate or take the offer and look for something at the same time.

Do you ever get frustrated with the pace of things in CE? I love that the work has a lasting impact, but seeing projects take years to get off the ground is starting to impact my motivation. Any advice?
