My LWD at JPMC is on 29th August and I am starting my new role at DB on 1st September.
I have also cleared interview at BofA. Now I am at salary discussion phase but HR is saying that background verification would take 6 weeks and would want me to join in Mid October.

I don't want to wait this long. Even before starting the interview phase I mentioned my LWD and other offer I am holding.

Please advise

Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?
