Hi folks, I just need your input. I got an offer letter—both conditional and unconditional—from Lloyds Bank. I believe the CTC they’ve stated for a 4-year experience candidate is quite low. Coming from a service-based background, I only got around 15 LPA Which is 40%. But I see Lloyds is providing more than that—like 18 LPA for even 2-year experienced candidates. How do I present a counteroffer? Will they accept it? Any inputs would help a lot.

If you r working now in a WITCCHA company or if u r presenting a counter offer from WITCCHA companies, then Sadly the standard being followed is 40% hike as standard no matter what ur CCTC is..

how about doing re counter with another WITCCHA offer ?

Has anyone reevaluated their retirement methods after a life-altering experience? I used to invest a lot more ($5k or so a month), but after losing one of my parents last year (mid-50s), I’ve wondered if it’s better to just enjoy life as we are living it. So, I started investing a lot less. But I always see people on here talking about all of these retirement schemes (backdoor Roth, mega-backdoor Roth, etc.) and I’m wondering if there’s a happy middle ground somewhere.

I am a contract employee that was just brought on a month ago. I have done well with onboarding and learning their tech. I have now been asked to design an architecture for an upcoming project, and document it all. Nothing at this company has been well documented before. I have a feeling they just planning to use my previous experience and then let me go since my pay is high. Is there a way I can safeguard against this?
