I joined ThoughtWorks in December. The staffing team shared a project, but the tech stack is not aligned with my skills as it’s mostly legacy code and there will be client round. Can I decline it with a genuine reason? While on the bench, what should I fill in the timesheet? Also, do I need to worry about being on the bench and for info I haven’t completed one month in TW yet? I also see many open roles on Jigsaw and would like to discuss them with the staffing team.

I have a friend who just started a new job-went from a big ad agency to a small start up. The boss at the new job wants to create the company website to show generic work. No actual clients, just work with made up company names. They have many clients that they work with-but won’t show them online. I have never heard of this? Why would someone do that? Isn’t it counterproductive to show fake companies and work? How can they discourage their boss that’s not a good idea without offending them?
