I want to switch markets transfer to my current firm’s office in that city. But lateral market is hot and bonuses are generous. Anybody heard of your current firm matching competing lateral bonuses so that they can keep you as an internal lateral? I've 2+ year's experience in Mainframe developing and would like to apply for the same in any of open opportunities. Please do refer me??

How common is it for first year associates to spin wheels? In my 4th month, I spent 6 hours doing a return with 3 K-1 royalties, 2 Schedule C with few expenses, and the usual 1099-DIV/INT, including consolidated 1099. Budgeted time was 5 hours total. I have yet to get my return reviewed.

Thoughts on leaving PA primarily due to the metrics based culture (utilization, dtc, use of X digital tool, revenue, margin, etc). I find this aspect of PA stressful and exhausting but not sure if this is something you just get used to. Currently a manager and seems like the metrics just change over time / don’t get easier.

This practice is on a big push of having ppl certified in one of those Advanced Cloud Certifications. We can pick either AWS, Azure and GCP with various specifications. Any recommendation on which one to pick? Ideally the widely used ones by client.
