Lukewarm take, most people don’t care
I learned my lesson quick after teams pings at midnight/5am — I turn off all notifications for work emails and teams. I only see them when I’m actively looking or between my work hours for the day whether that’s 7-10 hours depends on the day but once I “clock out” I don’t look or get notified. Too much going on in real life to let them take over the few hours we have to LIVE
Schedule emails if you’re working late hours. It’s considered poor email etiquette to trigger push notifications in the middle of the night, unless you are in radically different time zones.
It’s everyone’s responsibility to manage their own notification settings. The only way this is on the sender is if they are insensitive enough to mark items as urgent outside of business hours
People who look at a time stamp on an email, or complain when it was sent perplex me.
Trust it’s quite annoying getting emails after work hours when you waited all day for an answer.
If it's a legit emergency, it's ok to respond as needed. But rarely is a legit emergency. For all others, respond when you get in the next morning.

Agree
I definitely agree
Woah
As long as you’re not the boss. Fine. If you are, let your employees off the hook and keep your notes to regular business hours. Nothing can ruin a weekend like an email that says “let’s talk first thing Monday” sent on Friday at 9 PM.
