If the work ran while you were there you should get a credit. But if you abandoned the team during production you generally don't.
Saw this happen at an awards show. Former ECD was credited for work, despite holding an ECD position at a new (competitor) agency when the award was received. If you'd put it in your portfolio legitimately, you should get the credit.
They probably had submitted the award when the ECD was still there. Agencies are under no obligation to credit people who left (and some use that as motivation so people stay). You can put it in your book, but be clear about your role in its development.
