How do you approach overcoming obstacles in your work, when the same old problems keep showing their ugly head? Age old problems include favoritism and bias, unclear expectations, and a HUGE disconnect between front line workers vs higher ups, just to name a few

I guess all you can do is navigate problems as they come along. And try to surmount the obstacles however you can. One thing I've found is that over time I've gotten better at dealing with, as you put it, the same old problems. But it is exasperating to have to always be repeating the experience. Sometimes it's like being trapped in a repeating dream.

At some point you get exasperated from working harder and not smarter... Surviving instead of thriving

I've kind of resigned myself to accepting that this is just how things are here. I've tried to make things run more smoothly, but when no one else buys in, it feels like it's all a wasted effort.

Thoughts on Wealth Management as an industry? Offered a role to work under a senior FA and eventually take over the book (~$800M AUM and growing). It sounds great, but I am worried about the disruption this industry is facing with Robo advisors and other low cost, DIY options. I’d want to make sure the clients stay through the transition, and I don’t want to join a dying industry. Thoughts and advice?
