How do you deal with being in a new job and you can sense some people might be jealous of you? It makes me feel weird and I’m not sure what to do. I know I should t dim my light but I feel like I do because I don’t want other people to be insecure. I know I shouldn’t be like this since I want to get promoted to management. Not sure what to do.

What is your understanding of the norms around whose names end up on a brief/complaint/motion papers etc.? I’m a midlevel at an AmLaw 20 firm and have twice been the principal drafter of something only to be cut from the signature block. The associate senior to me is on it despite having done far less of the work. And it’s not because it required a rewrite or something. The filed product is 80-90% my work. What house plants are NOT toxic to cats? I swear every time I go to buy a new plant and look it up it says “toxic to pets”. I have a dumb cane which I know is toxic but didn’t realize when I bought it so now I just keep it in the laundry room away from my cat when I’m at work but that means no daytime sunlight. Would like suggestions on which plants I can buy that are safe to leave alone with my cat 😸
