My family situation is already complicated, my mom and dad are not on good terms so we don’t live together and when I move it’ll get worse. I am financially independent but I feel guilty for not being there for them. Is there any possibility of getting transferred to Gurgaon office(a lot closer to my home)if I talk to my manager?

Brought my gf sushi take out to her house when she got off of work. She didn't like the meal I got her and started to eat the roll i got for myself. How do you incorporate warm up/bell ringer problems so that kids actually complete the problems and not just use that time to socialize?

Came here to say that I wish I could fully express to my non-parent colleagues how much their support has meant to me. She even played game when we had the movie night. So I just moved states. I’m staying with a parent for a while in a pretty large house and my cat keeps hiding for hours on end (I think to snooze). Any thoughts? She’s spent time with me and I walked around with her while she explores. And she’s ventured solo. Seemed she’s warming up well. Except this again. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…
