It depends on what I’m coming from, if the benefits are something I can and will use, and if the base still makes sense for me. There absolutely are a lot of moving parts, so it’s up to you to prioritize and know what makes sense.
Always run the numbers, especially when it comes to insurance coverage. Good policies can more than make up for salary disparity. PTO is harder to put a price tag on, but still very much worth taking into consideration.

I usually weigh the benefits against the pay. Numbers can help, but I also trust my instincts. It’s all about what feels right for me.
