I started building in 30-min “fake” meetings on my calendar just for breathers or prep time. If I get a last-minute invite, I pause and reply later with a boundary or alternative. It’s not perfect, but it helps me feel like I’m choosing how I show up instead of being pulled in all directions.
I do this too and it really helps. Just be strict on keeping that time free
The thing about boundaries is that it's important to set them. But what really matters is enforcing them so they're just not talk. You just have to be stubborn and not let work overwhelm your life. I'm resigned to the fact that my days are going to be busy, but I make sure my nights and weekends are my own. Now and then I have to give in and break that rule, but for the most part I work at being stubborn.
