1-Midway museum , that's where they have the statue sailor and a nurse kissing. It's kind of a touristy thing to do. But the Midway museum is pretty dope , you'll see all the retired planes on an aircraft carrier.
2-la Jolla cove (seals/sea lions).
If you can snorkel , you can see the leopard sharks at the cove.
3- Balboa park
4- Point Loma / cabrillo monument ( you can just drive here and get a really good view of the city )
Its really great. You should definitely make time to check it out....I think you will really enjoy it.
Check out Coronado island. It’s super cute and walkable. Very nice beaches. Downtown has great food and nightlife if that’s your thing. Pacific Beach has a more laid-back, beachy bar scene. You can do a cruise around the bay from downtown that is fun and inexpensive. Balboa is cute with some interesting museums. The wild animal park can be a fun time if you like zoos. Hillcrest/North Park have great brunch spots. There is kayaking in La Jolla.
One of the best beaches in the world…our water is murky though..
After your hike reward yourself with a salted butter donut from Sidecar. It’s bomb and they always have a cool specialty donut.
Kate sessions park (facing the bay), Mount Soledad, Coronado (west side during the sunset, east side at night to see skyline)
Get a California burrito (with guac) from Ortiz’s in Point Loma. Your life will never be the same
Yes…totally agree with Ava Gottschall and Forward Slope, Inc 1
What are you into? Outdoors? Art? Kid stuff? Food?
Where in SD?
SD isn’t a huge tourist town, but I say head down to Balboa Park on a weekend. Check out some of their museums.
Or head to North Park and discover all the fun bars and eateries in the area.
SD is not a huge tourist town?!? 😂👎 it might be top 5 for US tourism…
