How do you know for sure that your prospective employer would keep their word during an interview?

My friend recently accepted a job specifically for mentorship and was willing to get underpaid for it. 6 months later, she told me that she received no mentorship and that she was overworked. Once she gave a 2 weeks notice the employer yelled at her.

I think she should have been more careful during initial interview and maybe had them sign a written contract.

So will i be able to get to data science after these business analyst roles. Does business analytics include the data science and development. Or should i look for better opportunities.

Offering advice to job seekers who go around recruiters and message hiring teams, execs, etc. You are putting the Recruiters job in danger. If a Recruiter declines you or doesn’t choose to reach out, it is because the hiring team declined you, or you don’t have the experience. You will most likely not be considered for future roles because of this. When I see people giving advice to reach outside the Recruiter, it’s bad advice. Very rare is this a good idea.
