How do you shut down diversity hire comments without losing your cool? Someone in the office kitchen today made a joke about how the only reason I got the lead =role was because the company needed to hit its ESG goals. I was so stunned I didn't even have a comeback, but now I’m just simmering. I’ve worked twice as hard for half the recognition, and to have it boiled down to a quota is soul-crushing.

RE Attorneys: When sending title objection letters, how do simplify them for parties on the other side who “just don’t get it”? I try my hardest to explain the purpose of the TOL and that most of the objections will be handled by the title company, but most sellers don’t understand, ignore the TOL, and blow the seller response deadline. Most of the time the only response that is needed is “Yes, Seller agrees to satisfy all B-I requirements and to execute an owners affidavit at closing...”
