What industries are doing well right now and reps are actually enjoying their day to day? My current role has sucked the life out of me while trying survive Covid and the burnout has reached a new level. I’m actively applying but want to find a good fit I can grow with. Not a fan of company hopping.
A recruiter reached out to me about a Senior Strategic Designer role at BCG Digital Ventures. Any tips on what they’re looking for? I have to send my CV Friday AM.
Anyone out there at EY who is willing to provide a referral to FDD? Please DM me. Thanks!
Transitioning to another big4 advisory practice next month. Worried about networking and learning a new role virtually. Any advice? Anyone else make a transition during COVID?
I just got an offer and I am planning on putting in my 2 weeks once I pass the background check at my new firm. Looking for advice on what I should be doing as I exit. What should I do in addition to downloading my professional contacts list and getting my CPE credits etc.? Do I have the option to pay and keep my phone? Really appreciate any and all advice :)
Have an interview for a role with EY's human capital consulting group tomorrow. Any opinions on the practice?
Is messaging recruiters on LinkedIn to express interest in a role a good idea? Found a couple exit opps that seem like a great fit but don’t have connections at the company. Attached my resume as well
Hi All. Hope you're well! I'm looking for a new job. I have been on the hunt & now I could use your help. I've been in the IT field for several years as a consultant. I'm looking for positions such as Program, Project Analyst, Consultant, & anything similar. If you or anyone you know is hiring I'd love to connect and how I can provide impact. I am passionate and excited to make a difference. DM me for any information or questions. I can send you my resume. I appreciate your help!
MBA or CFA if I want to climb the ladder at an asset management firm? For context - 1 year out of undergrad working an internal finance role
Bain 🐠, I have my first interview coming up. It’s for a consultant role in a specific Practice. What to expect in this interview? Also, how big your the EMEA presence? (Team size, projects, growth?)
Can anyone recommend good books or articles on startup org charts and hiring? Think we’ve hit early signs of product/market fit, but not sure who to hire next, in what order, and how the org should evolve over next few years.
Anyone hiring entry level ux? I am a senior designer but feel junior ux. I mean does anyone train anymore?
MBB 🐠: how significant is the risk of appearing to “spray” your resume to multiple opps? ID’d second internal position that’s also a good fit. Both of these are non-referral (ie, website applications)
Role open on my old team. DM me if interested.
Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.
Thinking about exiting consulting with 2YOE and would love to get perspective on what people felt like was the most important aspects to optimize for early in their career/life that has set them up for success in the long term - e.g. good manager, learning opportunities, level of ownership/responsibility, comp, or even better WLB to figure out their interests
Is online MBA just as good as regular MBA?
Debating getting a certificate in either AWS, Azure, or GCP. Which one should I choose and why? - AWS is the market leader - Microsoft is a trash factory, but apparently used by 80% of F500 companies - GCP is apparently way easier to learn and use Thanks!
Prepping for AWS Cloud Practitioner cert. Any suggested on sample test questions that best represent the exam?
If I get an offer elsewhere, with a higher salary offer, will Deloitte increase my salary to keep me?
New attorney here! Currently, I’m a child advocacy lawyer, but I want to get into family law (divorce, custody, etc.). I’m constantly advised to steer clear of family law; but is it really THAT bad??
Hello Fishes, there are few questions hitting to my mind about PWC AC, can you please help me clear this. 1. Benefits included and when does my eligibility start at PWC 2. Other perks(telecommuting perks and stock options) at PWC 3. vacation time and sick leave at PWC 4. Bonus compensation (Yearly / Mid year Bonus, Joining Bonus) Thanks!!
Mini poll - Best firm among Tier 2: (also would be lovely to know why) 💜 - GT ❤️ - BDO 💚 - RSM
Happy Father’s Day out there. You Padres are killing it with your selfless dedication with your sacrifices to your families. Challenge yourselves to spend time more time with your kids. That’s the biggest regret I hear....to all the fathers that screwed it up get your $h!t together and be the father you always wanted. Cheers!!!
Do you think parental leave policies and the culture around it at your company are fair?
Stupid question, want to get into political risk consultant, is that a thing outside of PwC in the big 4? If so what qualifications do you need and what's more utilized, risk analysis or poli sci?
23 years old, $0 in debt, $71k cash in the bank, $12.4K invested in the stock market and working Big 4 making 76.2k a year. Currently invested in VOO, VOOG, BRK.B, and MSFT (ROTH IRA & Individual Brokerage A/Cs). Should I be investing more heavily with all the cash I’ve saved up; I’m a little worried about the market volatility, but also I’m 23 so want to cash in on compounding interest.
I have an offer from MBB at my MBA program but I’d lose my sponsorship with LEK if accepted (they won’t match it). Interviewed for exposure. How easy would it be to lateral to MBB after I put in 2 post-years with LEK? Are the cases a little more relaxed then? The FOMO😖
Thinking of transferring. Thoughts on FDD in b4 transaction services vs. Management Consulting?
