Styles come and go. Wear jeans that you are comfortable in and flatter your body type. I say this as a 32 yr old 5’2 millennial who wouldn’t be caught dead in balloon jeans because they look huge on me and will always gravitate towards skinny jeans. You do you girl.
I am also 32 😭 I still like skinnies too but I don’t feel good in them the way I used to
I’m still thinking about a pair of agolde balloon jeans I tried on 2 months ago and didn’t buy…go for it.
Honestly look at Zara. Their denim quality is bizarrely incredible
I understand, not all skinnies are created equal - if you’re able to invest Madewell makes a Stovepipe cut that’s perfect for an in between of skinny and boot cut.
Everyone has a different body type. Look at the Kibbe Body Type Assessment as an example of this. If you look good in balloon jeans, who cares if they are on trend or not. Always wear what looks good on you and you feel confident in.
Don’t do it if you’ll stop wearing them when they go out of style (probably in like a year or two). But if they look great for your body type & you’ll keep wearing them anyways, then do it! I think dressing for your body type never goes out of style.
