My book shows better work and more awards then anyone at my agency. Experience is more varied and diverse than my boss. I am the only woman CD. Was given the least exciting clients. Junior most creative to work on projects. Still managed to make creative work and win some shiny things. Got burnt out after 5 years. Told them so. Got laid off. Have seen this happen to other female CD too in the past. Maybe it’s me. Maybe it’s them. But seriously reconsidering advertising.

Not sure if this is the right step but I’m a little desperate since I was laid off about a month ago and now finally landed a PM interview. As part of the process, i have to complete a take home assessment, which I have completed. I absolutely hate my job and would like to resign ASAP but my bond period is until Feb 2023 but they are already having a qualifying exam which I won't clear and will get fired anyways in Jan 2023...but they are refusing to let me go without paying bond money.. What will happen if I just get myself fired😑

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

Anyone else feel like the HR person who screens you for interview lies? This HR rep told me that the hiring manager personally picked my resume out and asked her to call me. She told me only one other candidate was interviewed and he wasn’t moving on and they immediately knew that. I had the interview with the hiring manager, it went well I thought. Then three weeks pass and today they told me they offered the position to someone else. 😡

My husband has been unemployed since last year. He has a part time gig holding him over until he finds something better, but he is struggling. Overall he has 10 YOE in hospitality (server, bartender, events, and restaurant manager) and 2 YOE in sales.

He’s open to school, but that will only delay us further. Open to getting a cert.

Where do we go from here? What are some fields he could enter in with this experience? Or something with OTJ training?

Just got let go and my manager said part of it was because I was looking for other jobs. I didn't look for other jobs at work, so I'm not sure how they could have known that unless a coworker snitched on me. Is it worth it to try and find out who or should I just leave it? How do you keep pushing? After rejection after rejection I feel like being jobless is the only thing I think about. I feel like giving up, but that's not an option either. How can I beat this? I know this will be easier with a positive attitude but I just can't right now.
