I am 10 yrs exp. Data Engineer, immediate joiner. Got offer from EXL for C2 Band-35 fixed + 12 percent variable pay in Analytics domain.
1. How much more can I ask so that they don’t drop my candidature?
2. How much joining bonus should i Ask?
3. Can I ask them to reduce variable percentage from 12 to lower?
4. How many days WFO?
5. I checked them for Noida location but they told analytics team sits in Gurgaon and Bangalore only so won’t possible
6. Shift is 1PM -10PM, office cabs are free?

1. 35 is the absolute highest for C2. There is zero chance they’ll push it any further
2. Joining bonus is no longer an option is what I know. Pre-2025, they used to hand out a joining bonus which was around 10% of fixed with an 18-month clawback
3. 12% is the standard, I haven’t seen any exceptions
4. 2 days WFO is the manager is strict about it
5. Analytics is limited to Gurgaon and Bangalore only as of now
6. Yes, office cabs are free

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late.
