I am an assistant branch manager and starting a podcast focused on financial literacy. The podcast will be purely educational. I won’t be selling any banking products, nor will I be promoting my bank or any other for that matter.
Some how my company has found out about the podcast which is still in the beginning stages and have told me it’ll be a conflict of interest. According to the employee handbook, there’s nothing that violates any policy. Is it possible for them to stop my business?

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice?
