I am NOT a morning person. Why did I choose a profession that requires I be awake before 6 am? How do you wake yourself up?

I’m a morning person. I wake up at 4am or 4:30 without an alarm clock, and get my 97 year old aunt’s clothes and breakfast ready on the table for when she wakes up. I have tons of energy in the morning- always have. I’m at school by 6:45 and leave right at 2:30. I’m fried by the end of the day snd am usually in bed by 8pm.

I am not able to sleep before 11pm due to bedtime routines of all my children and then my personal shower and 30 minutes of heating pad be still and silent time.

I’ve have nearly 30 years under my belt. I don’t even have to set an alarm anymore. I just wake up about 5 minutes before it goes off. It’s not the wakening up for me, it’s the I don’t want to leave my warm bed thing. On hard days I know I something scheduled, it’s motivation to do “it” that lets me hit snooze three times! Lol

I do know the feeling…that somehow your alarm didn’t go off and you realize that you won’t make homeroom and period 1. Believe me, I had the same nightmares.

After 30 years, I’m STILL not a morning person. I pick out my clothes the night before, eat breakfast at school, and pack my lunch at night. I do everything I can the night before and set 3 alarms.

I have to have 5 alarms and I still lay down on the floor while trying to get shoes on ect... getting my kiddos ready is a struggle.

I am and always have been. Even on the weekends I'm up at 6 or 7. I just love the serene mornings, and watching the world slowly come alive. Plus, down here when the summer hits, it's about the only time you can go outside without being broiled instantly. How much coffee do you drink? What time do you go to bed? Can you train yourself to wake up earlier?

I do not drink any coffee or energy drinks, and barely any soda. I am running on fumes and need a nap when I get home to make it through homework, dinner and bedtime routines.

With about 4 different alarms set at 5 minute intervals! Then a nice hot cup of salted caramel protein coffee.

Yup, I have 6 alarms

I set my alarm and it plays soothing music 🎶 to keep me calm. I try to go to bed on time at nights.

I'm not a morning person & always at a sleep deficit. I set multiple alarms & drink a lot of coffee. Ginko Biloba capsules help too.

Thanks to two year old twins, I haven't slept in 2 years... I feel that deficit for sure!

OOOOF OP I am right there with you. I am literally not a morning person at all and I hate getting up in the morning. I am literally SO grouchy in the morning and can't ever really shake it.

Hello everyone,

I resigned Today from my current employer for a different offer.

I discussed with my lead , he said if you really want to leave then prepare a good reason and leave on good terms, management will try to give lucrative offers so that you stay.

What are some safe resignation reasons to give so that
they cannot counter it and it looks genuine and safe as well.
I do not want to say that I am leaving because I am getting another offer.

Kindly guide 🙏
