What is making you feel guilty in the first place? Some availability is important for your own career, but you also have to protect your personal time. If it's not an emergency, it can wait until the next business day.

I think the guilt comes from years of equating availability with value.
There is no reason to feel guilty. At all. I was the same way earlier in my career. What helped me was realizing no one is going to protect your time except you. Start small. One boundary at a time. It's like anything new you do for the first time. Scary and uncomfortable at first, second nature once you make it a habit.

I have noticed no one questions boundaries once they become consistent. I am trying to remind myself that discomfort does not mean I am doing something wrong, just something new.
