Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

I mean the bands are pretty much published in the AFR/NBR
At my firm (one of the big 4) director starts at 185, but the usual landing point when people enter is 190. It goes all the way up to 280, and some people are on that, but most with 2-5 years exp at level are 230k
Yeh partners do start at a 320k entry prior to equity buy-in. For 3 of the big 4 you start as essentially a non-equity partner on about 320k, then you buy-in after a year or two and from then on get a profit share. You get given a band which represents a number of shares, and each year they decide a payment per share. Typically you increase your shareholding every year or two for the first 5-10 years so it goes up quite a bit. A 5 year partner is probably around 500-600k
If directors in big 4 legit only get 180k I'm shook
It’s not called the get rich slow scheme for nothing! I think you’ll find that’s an “average” 1st year/new director.
